Entrep Corner Prepares St. Paul University QC Students for Upcoming Mall Exhibit

February 20, 2024

Counting down to the launch of Robinsons Malls’ Entrep Corner student exhibit at Robinsons Galleria in March, RLove gathered industry experts in the fields of business strategy, sales, marketing and advertising/design to prepare students from St. Paul University of Quezon City for their month-long mall exhibit through a 1-day Entrep Corner seminar and presentation. The seminar features a lecture series, followed by a business pitch session facilitated by SPUQC mentors together with industry professionals from RLC. More than 30 Senior High School and College students under the Accountancy, Business and Management-strand program of the school participated.

During the lecture, four industry practitioners gave 1-hour lectures covering branding strategy, digital marketing, design/advertising and sales, respectively. Robinsons Land’s Mr. Ramon Rivero (Corporate Strategy) shared branding techniques; Eleven/Eleven Advertising Agency’s Founder & CEO, Ms Chinee Villafuerte, gave practical tips on digital marketing; Mr. Kendrick Go (Commercial/Advertising Photographer) mentored on basic photography and product styling; while Robinsons Hotels and Resorts’ Mr. AJ Dela Fuente taught useful tips on salesmanship. After each session, students were given the chance to probe into the topics through the Q&A portion of the program.

Immediately following the lecture series is a business pitch segment where all student participants presented their business concepts to a panel organized by RLC employees including Ms. Cecilia Jao Padilla (RHR’s Corporate Director for Food and Beverage), Ms. Huey Silo (Corporate Social Responsibility Manager), Mr. Clarence Filart (Corporate Planning & Strategy Officer), and Mr. Froilan Bonus (Tenant Relation Officer) took part in the critique and gave professional advice on various aspects of the students’ business projects. Students received constructive feedback that they may apply during the actual mall exhibit.

Capping the pre-exhibit activity is a short orientation on mall tenant guidelines by Froilan Bonus who shared essential Do’s and Dont’s to ensure smooth exhibition implementation.

SPUQC’s Entrep Corner exhibit, which will feature the final & approved students’ business concepts will launch at Robinsons Galleria Mall Ortigas in March 2024.
