Entrep Corner Provides Hands-On Business Experience to DLSU-D Students @ Robinsons Gentri

April 13 to 27, 2024 – De La Salle University Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), in partnership with RLove, presented its annual Entrep Corner student exhibition at Robinsons Gen. Trias in Cavite City, which ran for three weeks from April 13-27. It is the culmination of the university’s practicum course as well as Entrep Corner’s Orientation Seminar and Product Evaluation activity held in preparation for the actual exhibition.

This year’s Entrep Corner at Robinsons GenTri, dubbed as “Flavor Fiesta”, showcased eight food start-ups created by DLSU-D’s BS Entrepreneurship Program students:

Citrooze Blends (citrus juice with jelly sinkers); Jolatinnaha (Taho ice candy); Sweet SurpRise (Mochitaw, a mochi snack with palitaw flavors); Mushpek Co. (mushroom nachos); Nug-Eats (organic chicken nuggets); POP Zone (K-Style chicken pops and mandu); Tofu Yummy (Tofu bites); and TWO SCOOPS (Cupalicious, ice cream-and-cake-in-one).

After a successful 3-week run, Entrep Corner capped the exhibit with a closing reception held on April 27. The reception, which was attended by the student entrepreneurs, their families and friends, and the school community, was made special with the presence of Mr. Michael del Rosario, Faculty of DLSU-D’s Entrepreneurship program and Ms. Huey Silo, Robinsons Land’s CSR Manager.

Exhibit Setup

The program included a presentation of products by the student participants, with each group promoting their start-up business on stage; and a roster of fun games and activities for the audience. Several members of the audience who took part in the games were given vouchers to sample unique food products from select start-ups.

Entrep Corner is RLove’s flagship program that provides actual retail experience to students taking up entrepreneurship/business management-related courses with the aim of honing their entrepreneurial skills in a real business-simulated environment.
