R Eskwela Donates School Bags with Supplies to School Children in Tacloban  

May 09, 2024 - For low-income families, one of the heavy expenditures involved in raising a family is the cost of education. With the fluctuation of prices of basic commodities, many families are walking a tightrope to ensure food on the table and quality education for their children.  

Recognizing the plight of young families and students in the community, Robinsons Tacloban reached out to Guadalupe Heights Integrated School in Tacloban City, Leyte to conduct an REskwela program in partnership with RLove. 

Through the REskwela program, employee volunteers led by Mall Operations Manager Lene Abarca acquired and donated RLove school bags with supplies for distribution to 155 Kinder and 140 Grade 1 students of the Guadalupe Heights Integrated School. The school kits, which contained notebooks, writing pads and writing tools, are expected to benefit 295 students and their families in defraying costs involved in purchasing school materials. 

R Eskwela is RLove’s school assistance program that provides select schools & learning institution with support on the provision of supplies & learning tools that aid the education of students. It also offers support in school rehabilitation, and construction of learning facilities. 

RLove believes that education is the key to empowering every child in order for them to reach their highest potential to become our future productive members of the society.
