RGift of Health Medical Mission Serves Tagaytay

June 21, 2023 – In Brgy. Kaybagal Central, Tagaytay, a number of constituents still need access to basic health services & medicines that their LGU is unable to provide. Seeing this problem as opportunity to reach out to its partner community, Robinsons Tagaytay and Summit Ridge Tagaytay, in partnership with Robinsons Retail Holding's Southstar Drug and the LGU of Tagaytay, brings R Gift of Health (RGOH) Medical Mission to the locality, sharing the gift of free medical services to both young and old members of the community. 

The medical mission, which was held at Brgy. Kaybagal Central Covered Court, served 200 select beneficiaries with a demographic profile that mostly consists of senior citizens, women and youth. These participants received vouchers that entitled them to a battery of medical services that includes screenings, consultations and provision of over-the-counter and prescription drugs. 

Medical Mission Offerings 

RGift of Health offers free screenings such as Blood Pressure monitoring, Fasting Blood Sugar, and Cholesterol/ Lipid profiling, among others. The results of these screenings are sent to the volunteer doctors for the medical consultation that generate prescriptions for each patient’s unique condition.  

Patient beneficiaries then use these prescriptions along with their vouchers to avail of free medicine/ drugs worth PHP 500 from Southstar Drug’s mini pharmacy. Beyond the subsidized amount, patients may purchase much needed prescription medicine at special rates, subject to the pharmacy’s available promotions and inventory. 

During the event patients participated in the promotional activities by partner pharma brands at the venue, and took home merchandise and more vitamins and supplements, free-of-charge. Some participants also posed to have their photos taken at the RGOH photo booth, which captured their joyful moments during their RGift of Health medical mission experience. 

RLove volunteers  

Contributing to the effort, employee volunteers from Robinsons Tagaytay and Summit, led by Mall Operations Manager Mavie Garcia, assisted in the medical mission by distributing meals and refreshments to the volunteer staff, medical professionals and doctors. 

R Gift of Health is RLove’s Medical Mission Program that provides medical services, such as screenings & consultations, and medicines; closer to communities that need them the most.
