RLove Sends Immediate Relief to RLC Employees Affected by Typhoon Carina
On July 24, 2024, PAGASA upgraded Carina to a super typhoon, which has caused major disruption and devastation across the National Capital Region. Its onslaught led to over 100 flight cancellations at NAIA, the overflowing of La Mesa Dam, which prompted flood alerts for Rizal, Quezon City, Valenzuela, and Malabon, forced evacuations and billions worth of damaged properties.
Responding to the call for immediate emergency assistance for both its community and internal stakeholders, RLove launched R Tulong, Robinsons Land Foundation Inc.’s emergency relief program that addresses the need for relief assistance to individuals and communities affected by calamities.
Through RTulong, RLove successfully conducted a two-prong relief operation, touching base with the needs of both its external and internal partners. In addressing the more urgent needs of partner communities, RLove initially worked with Robinsons Malls Novaliches, Malabon and Galleria South to distribute modular tents and food relief packs to displaced families and individuals, which supplemented local government relief provisions.
Meanwhile, to ensure that affected employees of Robinsons Land Corporation receive emergency assistance, RLove organized an NCR-wide distribution of relief packs in 5 malls and RLC Head Office. Over 300 organic and third-party manpower employees received packs containing basic grocery items such as canned goods, noodles, rice, coffee and biscuits.
R Tulong is RLove’s emergency relief program that addresses the need for relief assistance to individuals and communities affected by calamities.
RLove believes that it is in times of calamities that our help is most needed by the calamity-sticken victims; in order to address their need for essential resources like water, food, shelter etc.
