Robinsons Antique Distributes Hygiene Kits to Select Children of the City
June 26, 2024 - The Feast of St. Peter and Paul, the Apostles, an annual festivity highlighting the patron saints of Brgy. San Jose de Buenavista, through the years, has evolved into a celebration of the locality’s arts culture, tradition and values. One of the focal points of this event is the Lin-ay kang San Pedro, a beauty pageant celebrating the elegance, grace and inner poise of young women representing the barangay.
Arranged by the Sangguniang Kabataan of the Municipality of San Jose De Buenavista, this year’s pageant sought to make a difference by way of initiating a community outreach program promoting good personal hygiene among select underprivileged children in the barangay.
In support of the pageant organizers’ advocacy for children’s wellbeing, Robinsons Antique mobilizes R Gabay, RLove’s CSR program focusing on child welfare. Through R Gabay, Robinsons Antique employees, led by Mall Operations Manager Tina Estrada, together with contestant volunteers from the Lin-ay kang San Pedro pageant, donated hygiene supplies to select 120 children participants from low-income families.
The children beneficiaries received supplies sourced from Robinsons Supermarket Corporation to promote the importance of personal hygiene. The supplies consist of hygiene products such as: disinfectant alcohol, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, vitamins, shampoo and lotion – products essential in preventing illnesses and fostering self-esteem and overall wellbeing.
R Gabay is RLove's CSR program that focuses on child safety and wellbeing. RLove believes that the children are the foundation of our future; and we are committed to supporting the most vulnerable children through the provision of their developmental basic needs.
