Robinsons Butuan Joins Professional Regulation Commission's (PRC) Tree Planting Activity
In a call for environmental conservation, employee volunteers from Robinsons Butuan trekked to the hilly site of Balaan Shrine in Barangay Aclan in the municipality of Nasipit, Agusan del Norte to join the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)- Region VIII in an activity that offers tangible results in our fight against climate change.
On July 25, Robinsons Butuan, through RLove, launched R Kalikasan, Robinsons Land Foundation Inc’s environmental sustainability initiative. Through R Kalikasan, six employee volunteers were mobilized to take part in the annual tree-planting activity of PRC VIII where they assisted in various tasks including: site cleaning and digging, watering and placing seedlings, and covering roots with soil and fertilizer.
The partnership not only serves to demonstrate Robinsons Butuan’s proactive participation in community activities, but also, its ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, which sets an example of environmental consciousness among future leaders and professionals.
R Kalikasan is RLove's environmental sustainability CSR program. R Kalikasan takes up greening initiatives and volunteerism projects that aim to mitigate climate change and reduce wastes sent to landfills; supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG): #13 - Climate Action and #14 - Life below water.
RLove believes that as one community, we must stand united in our efforts in contributing to a brighter and greener future for our shared home.
