Robinsons Logistix & Industrials Inc Donates School Bags to 300 Select Public School Students

For low-income families, the start of classes becomes a reason for parents to worry despite free tuition and fees in public schools. On top of transportation and food expenses for their school-age children, parents need to purchase basic school materials, posing additional burden on their finances.

Recognizing the plight of young families and students in the community, Robinsons Logistix & Industrials Inc. (RLX) , the Industrial estate arm of Robinsons Land, reached out to Jose Platon Elementary School in Brgy. Saimsim, Calamba, Laguna to conduct an REskwela program in partnership with the Sangguniang Barangay of Saimsim, Calamba City and RLove. 

Through the R Eskwela program, employee volunteers led by RLX’s Admin and Operations Head Grace Samson, acquired and donated RLove school bags with supplies for distribution to select elementary school students of the school beneficiary. The school kits, which contained notebooks, writing pads and writing tools, are expected to benefit 300 students and their families in defraying costs involved in purchasing school materials.

R Eskwela is RLove’s school assistance program that provides select schools & learning institution with support on the provision of supplies & learning tools that aid the education of students. It also offers support in school rehabilitation, and construction of learning facilities.

RLove believes that education is the key to empowering every child in order for them to reach their highest potential to become our future productive members of the society.
