Robinsons Malls Partners with Meralco to Impart School Supplies & Cleaning Materials to Tanzang Luma Elementary School

In time for the opening of a new school year, Robinsons Malls and Robinsons Land Foundation Inc. (RLFI) partnered with MPower, Meralco’s local Retail Electric Supplier (LRES) to conduct a school supplies donation drive for a select public school beneficiary in Imus City, Cavite. Dubbed as Balik Eskwela, the drive is a joint effort in support of DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela program.

Balik Eskwela program is presented by R Eskwela, RLFI’s school assistance program, and iMPower, One Meralco Foundation’s sustainability initiative, which aligns well with RLove in fostering community empowerment through tangible contributions supporting children’s education.

The Balik Eskwela school drive was launched in a turnover ceremony held on July 29, at Tanzang Luma Elementary School in Imus City. Robinsons Malls, represented by a 12-person team of volunteers led by Ms Krystel Rae Marquez-Lim, Robinsons Land Corporation’s Sustainability and Customer Management Manager, took part in the ceremony attended by the school community and project partners.

During the turnover, RLC employees took part in distributing RLove school bags, and supplies such as writing implements and paper materials to the students; as well as cleaning supplies for the school community.

In a statement, Robinsons Malls Vice President for Operations and Marketing Joel Lumanlan, quotes: "Robinsons Malls is honored to partner with MPower for the Brigada Eskwela program. Barangay Tanzang Luma is home to our Robinsons Imus mall, and we are happy that we can provide more support to our local community. Together with MPower, we can champion education and empower young minds that pave the way for a brighter future."

R Eskwela is RLove’s school assistance program that provides select schools & learning institution with support on the provision of supplies & learning tools that aid the education of students. It also offers support in school rehabilitation, and construction of learning facilities.

RLove believes that education is the key to empowering every child in order for them to reach their highest potential to become our future productive members of the society.
