ROBINSONS MALLS PARTNERS WITH TV PATROL
The year 2017 marked the beginning of the partnership between Robinsons Malls and "TV Patrol", the flagship national network news broadcast of ABS-CBN in the Philippines, for various projects and activities. Titled "TV Patrol Caravan", the team of ABS-CBN visited several Robinsons Malls from all over the Philippines and conducted educational programs for the benefit of the public. Part of their projects was the Job Fair attended by over 15,000 Filipinos to apply to different companies. A series of seminars and livelihood trainings were also organized to educate the public on different social matters. With the increase of natural disasters in the country, Robinsons Malls together with TV Patrol conducted the Disaster Preparedness Seminar in various provinces. Led by experts from PHIVOLCS, Energy Development Corporation and other representatives from the province's LGUs, participants were exposed to in-depth discussions about natural calamities such as typhoons, floods and earthquakes. Over 1,000 participants from different communities attended the program and left armed with new skills and a new outlook on disaster preparedness. They were also given disaster kits containing basic tools and supplies which would be essential in the event of an emergency or natural disaster. Livelihood trainings were also conducted to offer alternative ways of earning an income. More than 1,000 residents joined the seminar and were given livelihood starter kits to help them start their own business. In addition, 27 wall fans were donated by Robinsons Malls and TV Patrol for the Turnover of Electric Fans to Tinajaros Elementary School, in partnership with Handyman at Robinsons Town Mall Malabon. The new wall fans will be installed in the classrooms to provide the students a more comfortable setting to study in.
