Robinsons Novaliches Conducts Relief Operations Post Typhoon Carina

On July 24, the national government announced a State of Calamity in the National Capital Region following torrential rains caused by an enhanced monsoon and Typhoon Carina, which inundated several parts of the Philippine capital and nearby provinces.  Among the affected areas is Novaliches in Northern Quezon City, which experienced severe flooding that forced hundreds of individuals to take shelter from nearby evacuation sites.

In response to the effects of the calamity, RLove through Robinsons Novaliches, mobilized R Tulong, to offer immediate disaster response assistance to flood victims. Through R Tulong, mall employee volunteers, led by Mall Operations Manager Alfred Cesar Conde, distributed modular tents to the local government of Brgy. Pasong Putik Novaliches to be used by 50 displaced families of the barangay.

The RLove tents were given in addition to basic necessities such as food and water, which were provided to the flood victims by the local government.

The donation is an initiative under RLove’s R Tulong program --RLove's emergency relief program that addresses the need for relief assistance to individuals and communities affected by calamities. RLove believes that it is in times of calamities that our help is most needed by the calamity-sticken victims; in order to address the need for provision of essential items such as water, food and shelter.
