Robinsons Offices’ entry “360 Degree Wellness” is shortlisted at RLC’s Road to Sustainability Awards 2022

In the recently held Road to Sustainability Awards by Robinsons Land CSR, Robinsons Offices’ entry titled “360 Degree Wellness" for Robinsons Offices’ employees, was shortlisted among the various submissions that vied for the Best Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Sustainability initiatives. The entry details the initiatives that demonstrate Robinsons Offices’ commitment to its valued stakeholders - its employees:

Social wellbeing:

OBD encourages camaraderie and healthy competition among its employees, reinforced through bi-weekly "GM's Cup" activities. The office is transformed to an environment where employees have the opportunity and venue to compete against each other in games like ping pong, foosball, board games and billiards.

Mental wellbeing:

OBD's new office takes pride in its design with a purpose - to elevate employee performance, mood, and physical well-being, as well as bolster interpersonal bonds between employees and clients. We redesigned our office interior to welcome the employees back to the office in the better normal. The modern office seamlessly incorporates exterior elements i.e greens, fun amenities, generous lighting, and brings them in so employees enjoy a conducive work environment that would serve as their home away from home. Collaboration work spaces like The Bar (office pantry), The Veranda/Sala (reception area) and huddle areas were introduced in the new office design to accommodate impromptu meetings, short discussions, and quick chats between colleagues. Additionally, art works were added onto the office walls to mimic an art gallery and seamlessly blend in with the office's Filipiniana interiors.

Physical wellbeing:

Along with the office redesign, ducts hidden in the ceiling were put in place. These result to an airflow rate that surpasses the one prescribed by the Department of Labor and Employment (6 to 12 ACH) by 3 to 4 times. For enclosed spaces like offices, it is important that there is a high exchange rate by which stale air is taken out and fresh air is coming into the premises to prevent the buildup of viruses, bacteria, and other contaminants. This isn't only beneficial in this period of the pandemic, but also important for the physical wellbeing of our employees.

Spiritual wellbeing:

To develop the sense of spiritual wellbeing among its employees, OBD celebrates mass on the first Friday of every month. OBD introduced its First Friday Mass initiative, which provides employees with an avenue to reflect and see their work as a spiritual path, as an opportunity to grow and to contribute to society in a meaningful way.
