Robinsons Palawan & RLC Residences Palawan Participate in the LGU's Tree-Planting Activity

Every year, the City of Puerto Princesa observes the Balayong Tree-Planting & Nurturing Festival 2024, an annual celebration highlighting Puerto Princesa culture, tradition and environment. Running on its 7th year, the festival, launched in 2017, underscores environmental stewardship and care for the region’s natural resources, especially their beloved Balayong trees, also known as Palawan’s Cherry Blossoms.

Supporting Puerto Princesa local government’s advocacy on promoting its city’s cultural and environmental heritage, Robinsons Palawan and RLC Residences Palawan launched R Kalikasan, RLove’s environmental sustainability program. Through R Kalikasan, Robinsons Palawan and RLC Residences Palawan mobilized employee volunteers who, with the leadership of Mall Operations Manager Melody Angela Palanca, assisted in tree care activities such as watering, weeding, fertilizing and using organic pesticides, among other efforts.

Ensuring the propagation of these trees in the Balayong People’s Park contributes to sustaining the beauty of the park, which has served as an important social interaction area that promotes mental health and wellness, as well as tourism.
