February 16, 2024
Advocating proper care of children with special needs, the loilo Provincial Police Office (IPPO), together with Robinsons Pavia, launched Project Hakus (Hatagan Atensyon ang Kabataan Aton Ulikdan kag Suportahan), an outreach program that promotes better understanding of children with special needs among concerned parents to protect them from violence. The event featured a themed discussion led by IPPO, kiosks offering free medical and dental services, and complimentary snacks and toy giveaways.
During the first part of the program, children and parents from the municipalities of Pavia and Leganes listened to a discussion facilitated by the IPPO on the unique needs of the children when it comes to providing a safe growing environment. After the talk, participants were encouraged to take part in the pro bono medical and dental consultations, and receive free medicines sponsored by the Iloilo Emerald Lion’s Club. The event was concluded with the distribution of toy and snack donations from RLove through Robinsons Pavia’s employee volunteers.
