Robinsons Roxas Participates in DENR- EMB's Adopt-an-Estero

March 23, 2024 – In celebration of World Water Day, Robinsons Roxas answers the call to be a responsible steward of nature by joining the quarterly Adopt-An-Estero Water Body Program Cleanup Activity organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources- Environmental Management Bureau Office (DENR-EMB Western Visayas Region). 

One with the local government in ensuring the protection of the region’s esteros or water inlets, Robinsons Roxas launched R Kalikasan, an RLove flagship program under Robinsons Land Foundation Inc. mobilizing employee volunteers for the clean-up drive.  

On the day of the clean-up activity, employee volunteers led by Robinsons Roxas Mall Operations Manager Venice Dela Cruz, trooped to their assigned estero and participated in the orchestrated event throughout the city. The volunteers worked hand-in-hand to collect debris washed into the inlet, that cause inundation during strong rains. 

At the end of the drive, employee volunteers accomplished a report that included geo-tagged photos and information like quantities of trash-filled sacks collected and even the weight of solid wastes gathered, for reverting to the bureau. 

Robinsons Roxas’ staunch support of DENR-EMB’s environmental programs demonstrates a strong commitment to achieving sustainability beyond the malls of their property.
