Robinsons Valencia Donates Health & Hygiene Packs to Senior Citizens in Need

This July, the Barangay Bagontaas Council of Valencia City in Negros Oriental observed its 50th Nutrition Month Celebration with the theme “Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat!” which focuses on the national nutrition plan aimed at reducing all forms of malnutrition across all the life stages. To promote it advocacy on the importance of healthy living, the benefits of growing one’s food and taking part in community health awareness efforts, the council launched its 4th annual Community Pantry, which seeks to engage pregnant and lactating mothers as well as Persons with Disabilities (PWD) and Senior Citizens.

Demonstrating full support for Barangay Bagontaas’ social sustainability efforts in promoting good nutrition across all ages and conditions, Robinsons Valencia launched R Lusog, RLove’s platform addressing nutritional and health gaps of select beneficiaries. Through R Lusog, Robinsons Valencia mall employees led by Mall Operations Manager Hency Yu, organized a donation drive of personal hygiene materials essential in preventing illnesses and fostering self-esteem and overall wellbeing. Consisting of powder detergent, body soap and hair shampoo, the materials were turned over to 100 select senior residents of Barangay Bagontaas.
