Summit Galleria Cebu Provides Essential Supplies to Abandoned Children at Casa Miani Cebu

June 21, 2024 - Orphanages stand as poignant symbols of both hope and hardship, sheltering children who have faced unimaginable challenges early in life. Casa Miani Arvedi - Buschini Cebu, one of Cebu’s beloved orphanages, is oriented to provide assistance to the needy children who are orphans, abandoned, school dropouts, physically abused and those in high risk situation. The orphanage is managed by the Somascan Fathers and Brothers, who continue the legacy of Saint Jerome Emiliani in serving the poor and taking care of orphans and abandoned youth.

Extending its assistance to the disadvantaged youth of Casa Miani, Robinsons Hotels and Resorts’ Summit Galleria Cebu mobilized R Gabay, RLove’s CSR program focusing on child welfare. Through R Gabay, Summit Galleria Cebu employees, led by Hotel Manager, Ms. Melanie Arceo, donated grocery supplies to augment costs in maintaining the orphanage, which currently houses 25 abandoned children.

The donation includes food, personal hygiene, laundry and kitchen items such as rice, sugar, canned goods, powdered drinks, bread, dental hygiene and bath implements, and kitchen and laundry detergent, among other items.
