We know how incredibly difficult this time has been for our teams and colleagues. People were affected on a personal and professional level as they experienced unprecedented challenges - the pivot to quarantine business, reduced operations, and massive changes in organization. The Team realized that we need to do something to keep our people engaged even in the toughest times. RLC OBD's GIGA Tower (after more than a year of operations) was qualified in April 2021 for a Retail Electricity Supplier (RES) which is mandated by Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

The main objective of the program was to push forward with ongoing projects and job creation nationwide despite numerous challenges brought forth by the pandemic.   This was accomplished through continuous recruitment for internal/organic roles and continuous construction and awarding of contracts across all projects of Robinsons Homes nationwide.

The Philippines has always been hailed as one of the countries embracing gender equality. The Philippines is ranked 17th among 156 countries in the Global Gender Gap Report 2021 of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and 2nd in APAC. The International Labor Organization detailed that the Philippines is the 5th in having the highest share of managers who are female. However, there are still a lot of disparities in terms of the industry, or type of job that women can get. This initiative aims to address these disparities by creating a workplace where women are given equal opportunities. 

Robinsons Homes has always taken it upon itself to responsibly manage energy and water consumption in its offices with the knowledge that it is part of its social responsibility towards its employees and residents to help sustain the environment.   Deliberate efforts are undertaken to conserve energy such as the turning off of lights in unused meeting rooms, unplugging of electrical devices even during weekends, and turning off of lights during lunch breaks. Water was also responsibly used and consumption monitored.

Robinsons Land's ArtAblado recently concluded its year-ender offering, the ChristmaSAYA Christmas Card Competition which was opened to children aged 6 to 12 years.  This year's Christmas Card Making art completion garnered 60 entries, each depicting their personal experience of Christmas amidst the pandemic.  “Each entry shows the child's memories of Christmas spent in Robinsons Malls, pre-pandemic and how they cherish this wonderful memory,” says Roseann C. More and more Filipinos turned to biking in the last couple of years as the ongoing pandemic restricted public transportation. With this sudden surge of bikers, both public and private establishments try to make the country’s busiest streets as bike-friendly as possible. Most recently, nine Robinsons Malls have been recognized by Mobility Awards for their efforts in consistently prioritizing the safety of a huge population of bikers in the Philippines and promoting cycling as a reliable, efficient, and environment-friendly mode of transportation.

Lights, camera, action! Nothing compares to the larger-than-life cinematic experience. Robinsons Movieworld is back, and they are leveling up by intensifying safety measures to ensure moviegoers have a worry-free and enjoyable movie experience.

Wicked Abstraction showcases nine individuals each with an artistic journey –laying bare their only passion which is painting. Their masterpieces will be showcased in Robinsons Land's ARTablado from November 17 to 30 at ARTablado, 3rd level, Robinsns Galleria.   These talented individuals have developed their own personal styles and are now at the brink of experimenting on a different path which would leave their personas open –showing their artistic instincts.

Decluttering should be simple and straightforward. But with the stress of daily life and living through a pandemic, you might not feel you have the time and energy to declutter their homes. When you do try to declutter, you might spend several hours looking for organizations to unload old or unused items to, and then deciding whether these are good for reuse, recycling, or upcycling. Robinsons Malls has partnered with the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Department of Information and Communications Technology (DITC) in implementing the VaxCertPh program, a portal for the issuance of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccination certificates to fully inoculated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and Filipinos going abroad.

As part of its advocacy to promote bike education and bike safety, Robinsons Malls, in coordination with the National Bicycle Organization (NBO), recently donated 25 sets of uniforms to the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) bike patrol officers. The lack of available transportation during the start of the pandemic paved way for many Filipinos to choose bicycles as the basic mode of transportation and for essential travel.  With this, MMDA has deployed bike patrol officers to ensure the safety of the increasing number of bicycle riders on the road.

Five well-renowned masters Al Perez, Pancho Piano, Ral Arrogante, Gari Carreon and Rhea Jai Fernandez take center stage in ArtAblado  till October 15 at the 3rd level of Robinsons Galleria.  The exhibit entitled "Sinag ng Sining" (Ray of Art) is a compilation of 48 paintings and sculptures which best represent the persistence and passion of the 5 artists who, despite being faced with the "new normal" took comfort in their artistry.

Robinsons Malls Lingkod Pinoy Center has forged an agreement with the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) to provide immediate assistance to seafarers, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and those who need to process their International Certificate of Vaccination (ICV) also known as the Yellow Card.  Through the partnership, BOQ will open satellite branches in Robinsons Galleria Cebu on September 27 and Robinsons Place Manila on September 28.
